My fire project issue is about sweatshops is about how companies use them to take advantage of other people,so they can make more money. Their working conditions aren't good, some companies even have kids working. They even establish their towers in other countries so nobody would find out. I decide to choose this issue because it happens everywhere, people know about it but yet, they don't do anything. Everyone is taking part of it even when we buy clothes just thinking how it was made. It make us realize how bad we are for buying this and not do something about it. |
I'm passionated about this topic because it could happen everywhere. Most of the people only pay attention to third world countries where sweatshops are at. Since they got no laws or rules companies just decide to make their clothing overseas since is cheaper for them. But this still happens in America. For example in Chicago on a chinese buffet restaurant “illegal immigrants were paid $3.30 and hour.” This proves how sweatshops are closer than what you think, it might be happening in your corner store and you won't even know.
I'm politically on the left, no question about it. I oppose sweatshops, I oppose exploitation of labor in the third world. |
