What we can do is help support bigger organizations that represent the sweatshops workers. I know that many people never even look at where there clothes, but they should really try. There are other options like investigating what brands to stay aways from. Also buying clothes less frequently.
Everyone needs to take into account the millions of people that are being taken advantage of. They are working long hours for very low wages, and on top of all that still suffering from abuse. I urge everyone to think before you buy. You may not know it but you are playing your role, as the consumer, and fueling sweatshop owners. Although I know it may seem difficult to look for sweatshop labor free items, it wouldn't hurt just to buy less clothes. We honestly buy way more clothes than what we need. |
Deeply concerned
its a concern because it's happening around the world, its a problem that poor people have to deal with. They have no choice but to work there. Taking into account Also we need to take into account that sweatshops is helping people. They might not earn a lot of money but at least is something and helps with their economy. Aware we have to be aware of this problem because us as consumers, we buy clothes everyday. We have to be aware that theres companies that are adjacent sweatshops, and that we should buy clothes there if we really want to help, and let people know. |
